I love snow. Living in the mid-Atlantic, we have few snow events a season; however, we're gearing up for first one of the season tomorrow (predictions are 2-4 inches). For you Midwest dwellers, it is quite an hysterical event to have snow here. My first experience 11 years ago, was most laughable. First of all, you learn not to go to the grocery store, an inch of snow brings out those who, for whatever reason, feel they are going to run out of such staples as milk, bread and toilet paper. Second, driving is at your own risk. Third, if you have school-aged children, even an inch of snow can mean school cancellation and most definitely delays.
However, for us "brave" souls who enjoy venturing out in any blizzard or snow depth, it's a great time to see the monuments and memorials. There's nothing like seeing the Capitol or White House during a snow storm. Bring on the snow!

We got about 3-5 inches. It was a little winter fairyland as I drove to the airport at 5 a.m.
